As a landmark public large-scale public building for regional business communication and exhibition events, International Convention and Exhibition Center adopts a full steel structure main frame, featuring large-span indoor space, high structural stability and modern architectural appearance. Our company undertook the full-process steel structure manufacturing, prefabrication, on-site welding and installation works for this project. We overcame multiple construction challenges including special 390B steel material application, sophisticated complex welding procedures, tight construction schedule and heavy on-site construction workload, and successfully delivered the high-standard steel structure project on schedule via refined overall planning and precise dynamic resource allocation.

- Special Steel Material Requirements: The whole project adopts customized 390B steel material with strict mechanical performance and welding compatibility requirements, putting forward higher standards for raw material inspection, cutting processing and anti-deformation treatment.
- Complex Welding Process: Diversified node structures, thick steel plate splicing, multi-directional intersecting beams and atypical structural joints bring ultra-high difficulty to full penetration welding, flaw detection and welding quality control. 100% non-destructive testing (NDT) is required for all key welding seams.
- Extremely Short Construction Period & Heavy Workload: The owner put forward a compressed overall construction schedule. Massive steel components need to be fabricated, transported and installed within a limited time window, with overlapping cross operations on site and extremely high construction pressure.
- High Precision Installation Standard: As a high-end public exhibition venue, the steel structure installation tolerance is controlled within millimeter level to match the subsequent curtain wall, electromechanical and interior decoration construction perfectly.
We formulated exclusive cutting, preheating and post-weld heat preservation schemes targeting the characteristics of 390B steel. A professional material inspection team carries out full incoming inspection to eliminate unqualified raw materials. Professional prefabrication production lines are adopted to finish component processing in factory in advance, reducing high-altitude on-site construction risks and improving overall processing precision.
We arranged senior certified welders with rich experience in large public steel building projects to be stationed on site. Optimized layered welding and segmented welding technologies are adopted to effectively avoid welding deformation and welding stress. All welding seams pass one-time NDT flaw detection, fully meeting national and international steel structure construction codes.
Facing the tight construction period and heavy workload, we built a whole-cycle project management system. We realized scientific allocation of production manpower, construction equipment, transportation vehicles and on-site construction teams by synchronizing factory prefabrication and on-site installation. Reasonable staggered construction and parallel working procedures greatly shortened the overall construction cycle, ensuring 100% on-time delivery without sacrificing structural quality.
Our dedicated project management team tracked every construction link in real time, from drawing deepening, component fabrication, logistics transportation to on-site installation and final acceptance. Strict quality inspection nodes were set up for each procedure, realizing zero major quality defects and zero safety accidents during the whole construction period.
We successfully completed the delivery of 5,000 tons of high-precision steel structure works for the 46,000-square-meter international convention and exhibition center within the required construction period. The finished steel structure features excellent overall stability, neat structural appearance and qualified welding quality in full inspection.
